The thread count (TC) indicated the fineness of fabric. The
higher the thread count, the more soft and silky the fabrics will feel.
In other words, the higher the thread count, the tighter the weave. The
tighter the weave, the flatter and smoother the fabric - it will feel
silkier. A tighter weave also means there's less chance of the fabric
going threadbare or pilling. In short: the higher the thread count, the
softer and more durable the sheet will be.
A thread count of, 200TC signifies a good quality weave. 280TC is
better and 350 TC is the best.
